Post Increase/Decrease Skill Spell Category
Just a quick question regarding the Increase/Decrease Skill Spell Category.

There are no specific guidelines for determining the Base Difficulty for this Spell Category, unlike Increase/Decrease Attribute. Was that on purpose, or just an omission?

Any help here? Should I equate the Difficulty with the number of Skill Levels (i.e., 1:1)? or should it be 1:2 (each level of Base Difficulty granting a +2 bonus on the Skill)?

I haven't played the game enough to get a feel for how the numbers should go...

Hey Nestor -

The information you're looking for is on page 133 - in the table near the end of the page, in the second column. It is located before the paragraph on Increase/Decrease skill, so it probably isn't an intuitive place to look. I know we had to combine some tables to try and save some space and make the page count.

Basically, an Average spell (2 diff) will increase/decrease a skill by 1 point for the duration of a combat/scene. Each additional success can increase that skill modification by 1 point.

Sorry for the confusion.

Ah! There it is. :)

Thankee kindly. I do confess I didn't notice the column header. I blame the GenCon Flu.
