This week's site update is the fiction introduction to the Magic chapter in Desolation. "The Weaver's Fee" is the story of the price a magic user in the After has to pay for helping others.

WOW!!!!!! Oh my Goddess, Jamie... What a superb piece of fiction, what a nightmarish story, what a truly atmospheric tale of the kinds of things that can happen with magic in the world of Scondera. What a terrific, yet fabulous but sad, story!!

"The Weaver's Fee" really does highlight the highs and lows of the magic system in DESOLATION. Whets my appetite even more, if that's possible. :)

We open each chapter of Desolation with a bit of fiction like that to help set the tone.
