This week's site update is the fiction introduction to the Magic chapter in Desolation. "The Weaver's Fee" is the story of the price a magic user in the After has to pay for helping others.

WOW!!!!!! Oh my Goddess, Jamie... What a superb piece of fiction, what a nightmarish story, what a truly atmospheric tale of the kinds of things that can happen with magic in the world of Scondera. What a terrific, yet fabulous but sad, story!!

"The Weaver's Fee" really does highlight the highs and lows of the magic system in DESOLATION. Whets my appetite even more, if that's possible.

We open each chapter of Desolation with a bit of fiction like that to help set the tone.
