 A Spell a Day (or so) - Day 8:
Spell Name: Simple Object Tradition: Sorcery Base Difficulty: Tough (3) Modifiers: None Final Difficulty: Tough (3) Duration: 1 Scene/Combat Resistance: none
This spell allows to caster to create a simple tool, weapon or item out of solid magical energy. This item must weighs less than 15 pounds less than 10 feet in length. It cannot have complicated (mechanical or moving) parts and must be an item the caster is familiar enough to visualize. Items with fine details cannot be made unless the caster possess a skill level of 3 or better in a skill that utilized the object.
This item mimics the density, weight and other properties of a typical item, however they are slightly stronger. For example, a hammer would be as hard as iron, a mitten would be pliable and soft like wool, etc. If someone tries to break a magically created item, treat its Defense rating as 2 points higher (see page 192) than normal. Weapons do not get a bonus to damage.
Sample simple items: sword, shield, lock pick (needs skill), hammer, shovel, plank of wood, rope, ladder
Extra Successes: 1: Make more complicated item 1: Make item more durable 1: Make item weight less 1: Create larger item
