Spell Name: Shield Tradition: Sorecery Base Difficulty: Average (2) Modifiers: None Final Difficulty: Average (2) Duration: 1 Combat / Scene Resistance: None This spell surrounds a nearby target (typically the caster) with a protective nimbus that increases their Defense by 1. Covering the target like a faintly glowing second skin, this shield counts as Passive Defense and stacks upon any other armor being worn. Although it completely envelopes the target, protecting both front and back, it does not give protection from the elements or bonuses to defend against non-damage spells. Extra Successes 1: Increase Defense by additional +1 1: Surround additional target with shield 1: Make shield invisible 1: Protect from elements (wind, rain, etc.) 2: Change target of shield from round to round |
