I will be there, I might even be willing to run a demo. I'm certainly willing to play in a demo!

Hullo, Morton,

Welcome to the DESOLATION forums, my new friend! :) Always glad to see new faces here, and certainly glad to have a new gamer to the DESOLATION game here and participating in the forums!

So what is Pax Prime? :)

Its the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle

Think of it like E3 for fans with parts of Gen-Con thrown in. Steve Jackson Games and WOTC both have a fairly large presence. Mike Pondsmith (Cyberpunk) and Luke Crane (Burning Wheel) were wandering around last year. Of course Wil Weaton always makes it.

I second that welcome.

No, we won't be able to be at Pax Prime, but it sounds like a good event.

If you would like to run a demo, we'd be happy to e-mail you some con materials that might help. Just shoot me a PM if you plan to run something.

Thanks for clearing up that for me. Much appreciated. :) Sounds like an interesting event. If you decide to run some DESOLATION goodness, you can't go wrong with the scenario "A Few Good Men" out of the rulebook. Pretty cool scenario to run.

Oh, and let us know how it goes and all. :)

I would run demos but I have no idea who to contact or where to post fliers etc. Its a HUGE convention. They rented out the Convention Center and Anex + the Sheraton Hotel and Benoroya Hall (symphony). The three day passes are sold out. They had aprox 60,700 people in 2009 when they just had the Convention Center and sold out last year.

It looks interesting, but I don't see any organized gameplay mentioned on their site. We'd be happy to provide a scenario and materials, but it looks like games would be pick-up games. Anyone who has attended in the past able to confirm that?

They have both. The companies have booths for the official demos plus there are pickup areas.

This year WOTC, SJG, and Sandstorm will all have official demos that I know of. I would guess Paizo will be there to but I dont know if they are doing anything official. Chris Pramas said he will be there but no official demos from Green Ronin. I'll post something to the PAX forums and see if there are any takers for a pickup game, if there are I will certainly take anything you have

I'm a big fan of Penny Arcade and an admirer of the PAX events they run.
It would be very cool to have Desolation represented at the con.
