Hullo, folks,

I'm pleased to announce that I will be running Desolation at CanGames, the local Ottawa gaming convention, the weekend of May 15th-17th, 2009. The link for CanGames is

http://www.cangames.ca

Here's the blurb on the scenario itself.

SHADOW OF THE WOLF
Game System: Desolation RPG
Players: 6
Time: 2 pm - 6 pm (Saturday), 12 noon - 4 pm (Sunday)
Description: While stopping in the village of Green Moon for supplies, you come upon a horrifying truth: villagers are being torn to pieces by some creature spawned by the Night of Fire. Will you uncover the real truth and save the villagers from a fate that could be worse than death? Try out this somewhat dark, post-apocalyptic rpg that uses the same game system as the Hollow Earth Expedition rpg. Prizes provided by the GM.

Looking forward to running this game, and will post up here about the game after the convention is over. :)

Thanks. :) I've pretty much been running DESOLATION at gaming cons and comic shoppes and the like since the game came out. While the game seems to get no respect, and doesn't have a large following, I do my best to spread the word. :) The scenario, "Shadow of the Wolf", is the first DES one that I've written for a convention (see the CanGames webpage for the theme, and hence why I wrote this one), and the playtest of this one has gone pretty smoothly, except for a difficult first run through of the rough edition. Looking forward to running it at CanGames, and any other gaming conventions I get to. :)

Hullo, folks,

Just about six weeks to CanGames, and hence my running of "Shadow of the Wolf".

The final playtest of the scenario will be this Friday night, and after that the scenario just needs the minor tweaks the group discusses with me, and then the scenario will be good to go. Looking forward to the convention. (Hope I manage to get a few players for the two runnings of the game!)

hehe Luck has nothing to do with it! :)

That said, I am rather looking forward to it. And hopefully, still having a voice when it's all said and done! :)

Hullo, folks,

Well, I ran the two sessions of the DESOLATION scenario, "Shadow of the Wolf", at CanGames this past weekend, and have blogged about them (see the link for my blog below), but am about to post the reports over in the section of the forums here. The first report can be found here:

viewtopic.php?f=26&t=287

and the second report can be found here:

[The link will be included here when I finish the forum entries.]

Enjoy. :)
