Post Ancestral Streams
I've been reading the rules a little bit at a time during my commute to work. It occurred to me that the Ancestral Stream related talents of the gnomes reminds me of the pre-born powers of the Atriedes, after Jessica's spice agony and Paul's children after his apotheosis. Good stuff.

There's a lot of deep stuff going on with the gnomes. They are *much* cooler than a quick glance would give them credit for. I'm glad you're digging them.

(Gearhaven is not a Killing Word*, though.)

*Apologies if you consider the addition of Weirding Modules to be Lynchian heresy. I enjoyed the movie.

You're talking about Dune, right?

Yup!

Maybe their descendants, albeit drastically re-envisioned, of navigators who crashed on the planet long ago. The weave replacing their debilitating spice addiction.

 It's all good, although the Sci-Fi Channel's Dune Miniseries out does the movie in many ways. I wonder if they ever filmed God Emperor Dune? It would be a shame if they didn't, Dune and Children of Dune was just amazing mini-series adaptations of the books.
