Hello!

I wonder if there are any more options to deal with mounted combat in Desolation/Ubiquity than this quite lame talent which only reduces penalties for attacking on a moving mount. This could be interesting for mounted archers but apart from this I think this talent is quite useless.
One of my players has a Warlander scout and would really like to do something with mounted combat. So before I start creating unbalanced house rules to implement real mounted combat options I thought it would be better to ask you guys whether there are any rules, talents, combat maneuvers or something like that for characters who would like to fight on horseback in any Ubiquity books.
I hope someone can help me with that.

The latest sourcebook for HEX, Mysteries of The Hollow Earth, actually has a set of rules and Talents for Mounted combat.

As loath as I am to pimp another company's product in a game forum, the book happens to be a useful source for a number of things, including an extensive bestiary, with "normal" animals such as horses and dogs, and rules for creating new creatures that would be tres helpful for adding new beasties to the world of Scondera.

It might be worth checking if it's allowed to import those rules over to Desolation.

Thanks for that. That's just another reason to buy Mysteries as soon as possible. I don't think that it will make any problems to import these mounted combat rules to Desolation.

Oh, I'm sure there's nothing wrong with you, or anyone else for that matter, implementing the mounted rules.

I was thinking more in an official capacity, i.e., the Greymalkin folks coming out with a Desolation book or PDF that included them as part of the game. :)

Ah, I see. :D
Since my copy of Survivors arrived today, I'm looking forward to any more supplements for Desolation. ;)
