Post subject:  Experience and the Armour Penalty

I've been thinking about the way Armour works in Desolation and was considering a adding house rule, that would allow a player to use experience to buy off the DEX penalty for their armour. The idea was that someone who is experienced at working and fighting in a particular armour, would not be as encumbered by it as someone without the experience (ie; a veteran legionair in legion plate verses a bandit in legion plate).

The thing is I'm not sure what to make the cost, if it should instead be a talent.

I believe that this has been discussed in another thread somewhere here in the forums. My search-fu is not good. That said, there may well be a rule covering this in the Survivors book.

Insofar as your suggestion goes, I don't think that using Experience points is the way to go on this. I would create a Talent to do it. Already worked out a rough version of it for the game, but will wait to see what is and is not in Suvivors.
