Post Happy New Year!
I wish you all a happy and successful 2010! Hope your hangover isn't as bad as mine. ;)

I really hope that 2010 will bring some new Desolation supplements for us all. I'm running two Desolation campaigns now, one conventional and one online via Skype and a p&p program. It's the only system and setting I play these days and to keep up long-time motivation for me and my players it would be great to get more material.

On that note, let it be a fertile year for Desolation!

Thanks for the well wishes! Same back at'cha, sir! :D

Yeah, my only outlet for Desolation right now is an upcoming PbP game. The challenge with niche genres is finding like-minded players willing to travel down the rabbit hole with you. ;)

Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to any new goodies coming out of the guys at Greymalkin. Luck and well wishes to all!

Well, I think Desolation isn't that much a niche genre as you said. It has many elements of classic fantasy rpgs while including some totally new elements as well. This makes it a great setting for fantasy rpg veterans who are looking for something new without leaving the fantasy genre completely.
I had no problems recruiting some players of DSA (biggest German p&p rpg with classic fantasy setting) for Desolation.

Anyway, I wish you good luck with your PbP game!

Hullo, folks,

Happy New Year!!

I would like to wish all my new friends here on the mailing list a very Happy New Year. May the Goddess bless you with health, happiness, good fortune, prosperity, and may you always feel a warm breeze at your back. :) And of course, may there be plenty of DESOLATION gaming and creativity in your lives for the coming new year. :)

Happy New Year to you all!

I would warn Nestor in advance that I watched BBC's latest apocalyptic programme over Christmas - the rather excellent adaptation of The Day of the Triffids. Hmmm. Triffids..... This was followed by a long discussion of what a realistic apocalyptic event would be followed by. I'll start a new thread for that somewhere else...
