The Story - Desolation Fiction
Hullo, folks, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned or brought up Stephen Herron's wonderful piece of DESOLATION fiction from the Halloween issue of Danger Magnet magazine. The story is highly evocative of the DESOLATION setting, sheds some light on the necromancers and the land of Kar'Danen, and was a lovely, shocking piece. Way to go, Stephen, mate!

I thought Stephen did a great job weaving that story. I encourage anyone not familiar with Danger Magnet to check it out (dangermagnet.com). We also plan to post the article on the Desolation site in the very near future.

Yeah that was a good story. But it was kinda disturbing and that made it all the better.

Re: The Story - Desolation Fiction
Thank you I hope it added some flavor and background to the Desolation setting. I suppose it's technically "canon" background information on Kar'Danan, but like everything else, it can be taken with a pinch of salt if it doesn't fit your individual game. If there's more interest in fiction like this, let us know.

Hullo, Stephen, Definitely added to the flavour and background of the game, mate, and to be honest, anyone who has not read or experienced DESOLATION would get a good feel of Necromancy and the flavour and style that communities can take in the post-apocalyptic world of the game. Of course there's more interest in DESOLATION fiction, mate! Bring it on!

Re: The Story - Desolation Fiction
I liked the tale as well. Even though I pretty much knew what was happening from the get-go, the fun was in seeing the reactions from our "protagonist" and those around him as things progresses. Thumbs up, Stephen
