CW Richeson Review of Desolation at RPG.net
Hullo, folks, For those who don't know, Christopher Richeson has posted a review of DESOLATION up: http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/13/13950.phtmlHaving read the review by Chris, I have to say that I was somewhat...disappointed...at the less than stellar review. Mind you, his reviews are always balanced out to some extent, and while there was stuff that he didn't like about the game at a "personal bias" level, there was also stuff that he did like. I've finally finished reading through the Magic chapter, and to be honest, I like what Stephen, Matt, and Jamie have done with the magic system and all, but to be honest, the book is missing an Equipment list for sure (other than weapons, armour, and shields, of course). With luck, that stuff will appear in the b]Survivors[/b] book (as it is currently called). ) I figured it was important to post the news about the review here, since there are two threads over on the HEX forums about it, but it should be up here as well. For those that would like to check out the HEX forum threads, they can be found at: http://www.exilegames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1819http://www.exilegames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1820So, thoughts, folks?

There's a fine equipment list by Nestor, actually.

The Equipment list is by me, actually. Nestor created the chargen cheat sheets and added the equipment list and new weapons I posted on these forums to it. cheers! Colin

Well, I did make the effort to credit Colin in the document. No worries.

Hullo, Ars, Actually, that's the Equipment list that Colin Chapman did up, which Nestor has added to the Character Cheat Sheets (and has credited, as he always does in the cheat sheets stuff). (And it's a good start to an equipment list for the game.) However, this is something that should have been in the main book in the Equipment chapter, even if it was only one page of basic stuff. I hope that the Survivors book will have an Equipment section.
